Cataract, Myopia and LASIK Refractive Surgery, Glaucoma, Diabetic Retinal Conditions, Eye Allergies, Dry Eyes etc.), to Oculoplastics (what Dr Chuah subspecialises in eg. Droopy Eyelids, Inturned lashes, Cosmetic Double Eyelid and Eye bags Surgery), we aim to provide patient centric care at reasonable and affordable rates.

In addition to perform Cataract and Lasik surgery using the latest techniques (small incision, sutureless phacoemulsification with premium lenses for cataract and tissue savings, topo-guided Lasik), Dr Chuah was trained and subspecializes in Oculoplastics Surgery (Double Eyelids, Lower Eyebags, Droopy Lids) (hence Aesthetics).

Dr Chuah was specifically trained locally and in the USA (under a Ministry of Health HMDP Award) in Eyelid and Eyebags surgery, Fillers, Chemical Peels, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) and Lasers, and has authored book chapters and lectured in these fields.

Dr Gerard Chuah obtained his basic medical degree in 1988 from the National University of Singapore, followed by his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCS Edinburgh) in 1993 and in 1994, he obtained his Master of Medicine in Ophthalmology from the Postgraduate School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. He subsequently obtained his Advanced Specialty Training Certification in 1997 and went to the University of Toronto for his Fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery from 1997-1998. He also went to the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary for a medical retina fellowship in 1998.

Upon his return to Singapore in 1998, he obtained his Fellowship of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore and was accredited as a specialist in Ophthalmology in Singapore. A former Public Service Commission Local Merit Scholar, he is also accredited and registered as a specialist in the United Kingdom (General Medical Council specialist register) and Hong Kong (specialist register of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine).

He is presently the Consultant Eye Surgeon and Medical Director of the Asian Diabetic and Retinal Disease Center located at Camden Medical Center.
